Summary

Shion, known as the ‘Hero of Darkness’ in *Shikkoku Tsukai no Saikyou Yuusha*, was revered as the mightiest warrior of his time. His unwavering faith rested solely in his companions, convinced they would stand by him till the end. “With this party, I will bring down the Demon Lord!” he vowed, his determination unshakable. Yet fate had other plans—his trust was shattered when those very allies, the girls he held dear, turned against him in a cruel betrayal.

Though he narrowly escaped death, the wounds ran deeper than flesh, leaving his spirit broken. Consumed by despair, he wandered aimlessly through the wilderness, seeking an end to his suffering. It was then that a lone monster emerged from the shadows, its voice eerily calm. “Will you kill me?” it pleaded, sensing the lingering strength within Shion despite his diminished power.

Faced with the creature’s request, Shion—who had already abandoned hope—found himself at a crossroads. What choice would a man who longed for death make when confronted with another’s plea for the same?
