My Co-worker is an Eldritch!

My colleague at work is actually a cosmic entity from beyond! This otherworldly creature has taken on the form of a retail employee, blending in at a local shop while secretly trying to unravel the mysteries of human existence.

Every day, it stands behind the counter, scanning items and making small talk, all while observing our mundane routines with alien fascination. The creature’s true form remains hidden beneath its human disguise, though sometimes customers catch a glimpse of something unsettling—too many eyes, shifting shadows, or an eerie hum beneath its voice.

Despite its terrifying origins, it approaches its job with eerie dedication, memorizing prices and restocking shelves with unnatural precision. It watches us closely, studying our behaviors, emotions, and fleeting conversations, searching for clues about what gives life meaning.

Occasionally, it asks deep, unsettling questions disguised as casual chatter—questions about mortality, purpose, and the nature of reality. Most customers brush it off as odd small talk, unaware they’re being analyzed by something far older and stranger than they could imagine.
