Summary

Detective Conan revolves around Shinichi Kudo, a brilliant young investigator who is transformed into a child after being poisoned by a mysterious criminal organization. To protect his loved ones, he adopts the alias Conan Edogawa, hiding his true identity on the advice of his neighbor, Professor Agasa. Disguised as a child, he joins the detective agency run by Ran Mouri’s father, Kogoro, using it as a way to track down the syndicate responsible for his condition—all while keeping his childhood friend Ran in the dark about his real identity. Created by Gosho Aoyama, the series shares connections with his earlier work, Magic Kaito, featuring crossover appearances by the phantom thief Kaitou Kid. The protagonist of Magic Kaito, Kaito Kuroba, bears similarities to Shinichi, blending elements of mystery and deception. Over time, the story introduces a wide array of side characters, each with distinct backgrounds and motives that often cast suspicion on them during investigations.
