Summary

For centuries, whispers have spread about flesh-hungry monsters hiding in the shadows of the forest. Terrified villagers refuse to step outside after sunset. Some say a mysterious warrior prowls the darkness, exterminating these vicious creatures. After losing his father, young Tanjirou shoulders the responsibility of caring for his mother and five brothers and sisters. Despite their hardships, they’ve managed to find joy in their simple life. But this fragile peace is destroyed when Tanjirou returns home to discover his family massacred—his younger sister Nezuko, the only one left alive, has been transformed into a demon. As tragedy deepens, a demon slayer named Giyuu Tomioka appears, ready to strike Nezuko down. To his astonishment, Tanjirou shields his sister, and she, in turn, defends him. Witnessing their unbreakable bond and Tanjirou’s raw potential, Giyuu spares them and sends the pair to train under his former teacher.
